Thief jumps off two-storey building in Ibadan while trying to escape mob

Residents of Salvation Road, around the Oke-Padre/Ogunpa axis in Ibadan, witnessed a dramatic scene after a suspected thief leapt from a two-storey building in a desperate attempt to escape an angry mob.

The incident, caught on video, has since gone viral online, drawing reactions from locals who say theft cases in the area have become alarmingly frequent.

According to eyewitnesses, the suspect had been cornered by residents when he made the dangerous jump to avoid being beaten.

The fall left the crowd stunned, with some claiming the thief still attempted to flee despite injuries.

Oke-Padre is notorious for its tough response to crime, and locals say the suspectโ€™s leap was a last-ditch effort to escape severe mob action.
