Port Harcourt fuel queues resurface as a litre costs N300

The capital of Rivers State, Port Harcourt, is once again experiencing fuel queues.

The majority of gas stations are not dispensing fuel as the product’s scarcity intensifies.

The few gas stations that have been put into operation charge between N290 and N300 per liter.

According to a representative of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria’s Port Harcourt chapter, the dearth of product at the depot is the cause of the shortage.

One of the IPMAN leaders in Rivers State claims that out of the 19 private depots in the state, only one sells goods to marketers.

Francis Dimkpa, the chairman of the Petroleum Product Retail Outlets owners Association of Nigeria for the state of Rivers, also claimed that there is “insufficient” product in the depots spread throughout the state.
