Nigerian woman asked to observe a 40-day period of mourning for her ex-husband, who abandoned her and their children in favor of another woman

A Nigerian woman was reportedly asked to observe 40 days of mourning for her recently deceased ex-husband.

This comes twenty years after her husband abandoned her and their three children in order to pursue another woman, and even welcomed children with her.

Chioma Onwuelingo, an optometrist, revealed on Facebook that the woman in question is her nanny.

The nanny’s children, according to Chioma, are expected to fund the burial because the children he had with the other woman are still young.

On Facebook, she wrote,

“Our Nanny came today and told me she lost her ex-husband. Emphasis on the EX.
