The Nigerian Defence Academy, NDA, has notified residents in the area of a military exercise that will take place in the area.
It specifically warned residents of Mando, Tsamiya, Kauya, and Afaka to stay away from the range area and not to panic if they heard gunshots during the exercise.
Major Victor Olukoya, the NDA’s Public Relations Officer, made the announcement.
The academy would hold its cadet brigade inter-battalion shooting competition, according to the statement, and residents were advised to avoid the range area during that time.
