A pest technician has described his ordeal at the hands of some allegedly bribe-seeking police officers in Lagos State’s Jibowu area.
He described being on his way to work on Monday, February 13, when he was abruptly stopped by a LASTMA official who smelled of alcohol.
He claimed that the officer ordered him to get out of his car without telling him what he had done wrong. He refused, and they were joined by four cops, who assaulted and strangled him with his necktie.
The technician who recorded a portion of the altercation revealed that after much arguing, he was forced to delete the videos and allowed to leave. However, when he arrived at his destination, he discovered that they had stolen his wallet, which contained $ 420,N6500 in new notes, and a few business cards.
