Bride Dozes Off as Groom Yawns Repeatedly During Church Wedding, Sparks Reactions

A wedding ceremony in Nigeria has triggered mixed reactions online after both the bride and groom appeared visibly exhausted during their church service, with the bride reportedly dozing off at one point while seated beside her husband-to-be.

Eyewitnesses said the groom was also struggling to stay alert, yawning repeatedly and shifting uncomfortably as the long service dragged on.

According to attendees, the ceremony ran longer than expected due to delays and extended rituals, which contributed to the couple’s visible fatigue at the altar.

Despite efforts by family members and church officials to keep the service orderly and moving, the exhaustion reportedly became obvious to guests, creating a tense but humorous atmosphere for some observers.

Guests noted that such incidents are not uncommon in lengthy Nigerian wedding ceremonies, which can stretch for several hours without sufficient breaks, especially when early start times are involved.

The wedding eventually proceeded to a successful conclusion, but clips from the moment have since circulated online, drawing reactions ranging from amusement to concern.

Many social media users have used the incident to emphasize the importance of proper scheduling, rest, and time management during major events like weddings.
