Alleged Dangote worker’s payslip sparks online debate over salary and workload

An individual claiming to work for Dangote Group has triggered widespread reactions online after details of an alleged monthly salary structure surfaced on X.

The post, shared by X user @UnkleAyo, reportedly featured information sent anonymously, including what was described as a payslip.

According to the unverified claims, the worker’s monthly earnings total approximately ₦146,351, made up of:

  • Basic salary — ₦30,758
  • Housing allowance — ₦11,466
  • Food allowance — ₦5,460
  • Utility allowance — ₦5,460
  • Hazard allowance — ₦1,456
  • Transport allowance — ₦9,646
  • Inflation allowance — ₦15,925
  • Laundry allowance — ₦910
  • Transport support — ₦45,000
  • Incentive — ₦20,270

The anonymous source also alleged that:

  • Contract staff do not receive leave benefits
  • Employees are expected to visit numerous outlets daily
  • A tracking application monitors movement and productivity
  • Workers must complete as many as 75 outlet visits weekly

These claims have fueled conversations about employee welfare, compensation, and fieldwork expectations in major corporations.

As of now, neither Dangote Group nor independent sources have verified the payslip or the allegations, so the details remain speculative.
