A Nigerian woman has stirred reactions online after sharing the painful experience of how her former boyfriend allegedly changed after relocating to Germany.
The lady, identified as @MhieNelly on X (formerly Twitter), revealed that despite the heartbreak, her ex-boyfriend’s journey still serves as motivation for her.
According to her, they met after he was deported from the United Kingdom and returned to Nigeria, where she was working at a brewery in Lagos.
She explained that although his situation was uncertain, she genuinely cared for him, supported him emotionally, and never pressured him about employment.
“He promised me he was working on something, but he never gave me full details. I was busy with work and didn’t have time to question things he was supposed to freely tell me.”
Unknown to her, he was secretly making plans with a friend to secure a visa to Germany.
After successfully relocating, he allegedly failed to maintain communication, despite previous promises and the support she had given him during his difficult period.
She expressed shock that he not only moved on quickly but is now reportedly living comfortably in Germany and frequently sharing photos with his new German partner on Instagram.
“Dude is currently living big in Germany with his German girlfriend. He even posts their pictures together on IG every time.
Her story has sparked widespread discussions on social media, with many users debating loyalty, relationships, and the changes that can come with sudden life upgrades.
