A rather unusual scene reportedly played out in a residential compound after tenants raised concerns about one resident’s hygiene habits during a meeting.
According to a narration shared online, tension had been building for weeks due to one tenant’s habit of rarely bathing. Neighbours said the issue became increasingly noticeable during compound meetings, where people often shifted seats, opened windows, and tried to create more space due to discomfort.
At one point, things reportedly escalated to the extent that a female tenant began bringing perfume to meetings just to manage the situation in the room.
Frustrated by the ongoing issue, residents eventually raised it formally in a meeting attended by the landlord.

During the meeting, the landlord reportedly addressed the man directly, asking why he did not maintain regular bathing habits given the shared environment.
What followed allegedly left everyone stunned.
🧠 The Unexpected “Philosophical” Response
The man reportedly stood up calmly, adjusted his clothes, and replied:
“The reason I don’t bath is because if water can kill fire… who am I?”
The statement reportedly left the room in silence, with tenants and the landlord momentarily speechless as the meeting paused in awkward quiet.
