Man Cries Out After Allegedly Scoring 100 in CDCFIB Recruitment Test but Fails to Make Shortlist

A young Nigerian man has taken to social media to express his disappointment after allegedly scoring 100 in the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) recruitment Computer-Based Test (CBT) but still failed to make the shortlist for the next stage of the recruitment process.

The applicant shared his frustration on Facebook after checking his recruitment status and discovering that his name was not among the successful candidates despite what he claimed was a perfect score in the examination.

Expressing his disappointment, he wrote:

God why me. I pledge to Nigeria my country after everything I still did not see my name why?”

He also posted the message he reportedly received after checking his application status, which read:

We regret to inform you that, after careful review and evaluation, your application was not shortlisted to proceed to the next stage of the recruitment process.”

The post quickly gained attention online, with many Nigerians sharing differing opinions on the recruitment exercise. While some sympathised with the applicant and questioned the transparency of the selection process, others suggested that factors beyond test scores may have been considered during the screening.

Mixed Reactions Online

@PrinceEmeka:

“If truly he scored 100 and wasn’t shortlisted, then something is seriously wrong somewhere.”

“Recruitment exercises usually involve more than just exam scores. There may be other requirements he didn’t meet.”

@OfficialKen:

“This is why many young people lose faith in the system. Imagine getting a perfect score and still not making the list.”

@ChineloBlessing:

“We don’t know the full story yet. Let him provide evidence of the result first.”

“Painful situation. I hope the board explains how the final selection was done.”

As the post continues to circulate online, many users are calling for greater transparency in the recruitment process, while others have urged applicants to await official clarification from the board.
