“She Took My Advice, Then Took My Man” — Lady Shares How Friend Allegedly Snatched Boyfriend After Breakup

A lady has sparked widespread reactions online after recounting how a seemingly peaceful relationship ended dramatically, eventually leading to a marriage between a man and his ex-girlfriend’s close friend.

The story, shared on social media, detailed events that reportedly unfolded within a residential compound where the couple had lived harmoniously before outside influence crept in.

According to the narrator, the man—described as humble, kind, and jovial—had rented an apartment for his girlfriend and was generally admired by neighbours.

Trouble, however, began when the girlfriend allowed a friend, who had just completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), to move in with her.

From that point, things reportedly took a different turn.

The friend allegedly began to question the relationship, frequently criticising the man’s educational background and communication skills.

Almost every day, I would hear the friend asking her: ‘Why are you settling for less?’ ‘He only has OND.’ ‘He can’t even speak English well,’” the narrator said.

As a close neighbour, I warned her: ‘Be careful of that your friend.’ She didn’t listen.”

Despite efforts to salvage the relationship—including pleas from the man through neighbours—the girlfriend allegedly remained firm in her decision to walk away.

“A few months later, she broke up with the guy. The guy even came to beg us to help plead with her… but she refused.”

In a twist that shocked many, the story didn’t end there.

The guy got married last weekend. Guess who the bride is? That same friend his ex accommodated,” the narrator revealed.

The revelation has since triggered mixed reactions online, with many weighing in on loyalty, influence, and relationship decisions.
