A National Youth Service Corps member has reportedly fallen victim to a shocking scam at Computer Village, Lagos, after being tricked into buying what was supposed to be an iPhone.
According to reports, the corper purchased the device from a vendor in the busy tech market, but was left stunned when he later opened the package and discovered it contained fufu instead of a phone.
The bizarre incident has since gone viral, sparking outrage and mixed reactions online, with many Nigerians calling out both the scammers and the buyer’s lack of caution during the purchase.
Computer Village, one of Nigeria’s biggest tech markets, has long battled issues of fraud and questionable sales practices despite ongoing efforts to curb such incidents.
