Mbappe confident of making the champions league final despite 1-0 deficit

Paris Saint-Germain superstar, Kylian Mbappe is confident his side will reach the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League final as they aim to overcome a 1-0 deficit in tonight’s semi-final second leg clash against Borussia Dortmund at Parc des Princes.
Dortmund won the first leg last week thanks to a goal from Niclas Füllkrug. But according to ESPN, Mbappé believes PSG can fight back to make it to the final on June 1 at Wembley as the Parisiens look to win their first Champions League title.
“We’re confident that we’ll come back from that score and reach the final,”‘ Mbappé said at a children’s event with his “Inspired by KM” organisation.
“There’s a lot of pressure, which is normal because there’s a place in the Champions League final at stake, which is very important. Especially when you consider the club’s record in the competition.
“We’re aware of the pressure, but the group is extremely calm. We’re confident that we’ll come back from that score and reach the final.
“I’ve often had the same warning from the children. I’ve heard a lot of You’ve got to win!’ And they’re right, we have to win.
“In any case, a day like this is good for the development of the man ll am. And I’m sure I’ll arrive at the match in a good mood, ready to defend my team’s colour’s and help us qualify for the final.” Mbappe, who is the club’s highest goalscorer has recently been in and out of the first team, owing to the reported fallout between him and manager Luis Enrique.
The 25-year-old has scored 43 goals across all competitions this season, with eight of those coming in the Champions League.
PSG will play either Bayern Munich or Real Madrid in the final if they edge past Dortmund later tonight.
