A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after sharing what happened during her visit to her boyfriend’s village.
In a post shared on her X handle, she recounted how her first night in the village unexpectedly turned into a moment that earned her instant approval from her boyfriend’s family.
According to her, there was a power outage, prompting her father-in-law to bring out the generator. Despite several attempts, the machine refused to start.
She explained that she later stepped in and managed to get the generator working, leaving everyone around visibly surprised.
Describing the moment, she wrote:
“His whole family just stared at me. After about five seconds, his dad finally said, ‘This one keep her.’ I’ve never felt so accepted in my life.”
The story quickly drew humorous and supportive reactions from social media users, many joking that knowing how to handle a generator is now considered an important life skill in Nigerian homes.
