A lady has stirred reactions online after narrating how a simple comment she made to her neighbor’s female visitor allegedly caused an argument that ended the woman’s visit to the compound.
According to the story shared on social media, the incident happened after the neighbor brought another woman home, an act that had reportedly already attracted attention from other residents in the compound.
The narrator claimed the man dropped the woman off at his apartment before driving out again shortly afterward.
She further alleged that the visitor later stepped outside wearing the man’s oversized clothes after changing out of her NYSC khaki outfit.
According to the lady, she then deliberately positioned herself near the apartment and greeted the visitor using another woman’s name.
Recounting the moment, she said she called the visitor “Vera” and acted as though she mistakenly assumed she was the man’s wife.
“I shouted, ‘Vera, how far na? You just show, you no even check on me,’ while walking toward her,” she explained.
“She turned and said, ‘Sorry?’ Then I told her, ‘Oh, I’m so sorry. I thought you were Vera, his wife,’ before returning to my room,” she added.
The lady said the man returned shortly after, and an argument reportedly broke out between him and the visitor before the woman eventually left the compound.
She also claimed the neighbor later confronted her over the incident.
“He later knocked on my door asking what I told his woman. I denied everything and asked if he had even seen me that day,” she said.
According to her, the man has since been insulting her and calling her names, including “demon,” over what happened.

The story quickly sparked mixed reactions online, with some people finding the incident hilarious, while others criticized the lady for intentionally causing trouble in another person’s relationship.
Some users argued that the visitor may not have known about any other woman in the man’s life, while others insisted the narrator crossed a line by getting involved in private matters.
