A lady has gone viral after revealing the unexpected reason a man stopped communicating with her following what she believed was a perfect first date.
According to her, everything seemed to go well during the outing, and the man even dropped her off afterwards. However, he ignored her messages and never contacted her again, leaving her confused.
Despite losing touch, they continued viewing each other’s WhatsApp status updates.
The mystery was finally solved after she shared a post about the growing number of people with body odour.
Narrating the experience, she wrote:
“Someone ghosted me once after a very, very, very perfect date. He just dropped me off, ignored my messages, and never contacted me again. I took it as a L and moved on. We still viewed each other’s WhatsApp status, but that was it.”
She explained that the man later messaged her, asking how he could politely tell someone they had body odour. She suggested he raise the topic gently by asking if the person had recently changed their body cream.
According to her, he then responded:
“When we went on that date, did you change your body cream or get a new one recently? You smelled funny. Are you sure they didn’t sell you a fake?”
His confession quickly sparked debate online, with many saying he should have addressed the issue honestly instead of ghosting her, while others felt he handled a sensitive topic as politely as he could when he eventually explained.
