Nigerian Woman Cries Out for Help as Three Brothers Remain Trapped in Collapsed Lagos Building

A Nigerian woman has made an emotional plea for help after revealing that her three brothers are still trapped beneath the rubble of the Great Nigeria House on Lagos Island, days after the building caught fire and collapsed.

The tragic incident reportedly occurred on Christmas Eve when the multi-storey structure was engulfed in flames, triggering panic among residents and passersby in the area. Eyewitnesses said the fire raged for several hours before the weakened building eventually collapsed, leaving large sections completely flattened.

In a viral video circulating on social media, the distraught woman disclosed that her brothers were among several people inside the building at the time the fire broke out. She expressed frustration and despair over what she described as the absence of a meaningful rescue operation since the collapse.

According to her, her brothers and others believed to be trapped have remained buried under the debris, with no coordinated search-and-rescue effort carried out so far.

Sharing a photo of herself with one of her brothers, she wrote emotionally:

Uncle Steve, my ever-smart brother. I believe you will come back alive. Your kids miss you.

Families of those feared trapped have continued to cry out for help, lamenting the slow pace of emergency response and the lack of clear communication from authorities. Many say they are living in agony and uncertainty as each day passes without progress.

The woman appealed directly to the government and relevant emergency agencies to intervene urgently, stressing that time is critical and that lives may still be saved if swift action is taken.

The incident has reignited public concern over emergency response systems, fire safety measures, and building integrity in Nigeria, with many Nigerians calling for accountability and improved disaster management to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
