Medical personnel do outreach to areas in Jigawa

More than a thousand inhabitants of Jigawa State’s Taura Local Government Area have benefited from free medical outreach and relief supplies.

This was said by Dr. Musa Abdurrahman Hassan, National President of the Young Medical Professionals of Nigeria, YOMPON, at the program’s Taura PHC inauguration.

According to him, the Wali Foundation helped organize the event as a way to give back to society.

He claimed that the purpose of the medical outreach was to lessen the suffering of local residents who are having trouble accessing healthcare services, especially those who have been displaced by the flood.

The free medical screening, free medical consultation, public health education, counseling, and free drug supply are all part of the medical outreach, as he described it.

Some of the beneficiaries, who praised the organizers for taking the community into account, claimed that the activity had provided the local populace—especially those who cannot afford medical bills—with the opportunity to benefit from medical services.
