A man has shared the shocking experience of his boss whose traditional marriage reportedly ended just three days after the ceremony, despite the huge amount spent on the event.
According to him, the incident happened about two years ago and left family members, friends and guests stunned.
He explained that preparations for the traditional wedding were extensive, as the groom made arrangements at both his family house and his bride’s family home.
The man claimed his boss spent almost ₦9.8 million on the ceremony, including the slaughtering of two cows — one at the groom’s family house and another at the bride’s family residence.
“My boss did his traditional marriage and he spent almost 9.8 million Naira because he killed two cows for the event. One in his family house then one at his in-laws place.”
However, the marriage reportedly began facing problems almost immediately after the event.
According to the narrator, the bride informed her husband only three days after the traditional wedding that she was no longer interested in continuing with the marriage.
“Three days after the event, the girl said she’s no longer interested in the marriage and left.”
The story has stirred reactions online, with many people expressing concern over the emotional and financial impact of lavish wedding ceremonies that end shortly after they are held.
