A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after recounting an encounter with a man who expressed interest in dating her but appeared to expect domestic services from her before any relationship had even begun.
Sharing the story on X, the lady, identified as @Ryann_Agada, said the man offered her a ride home after a church service. During their conversation, he spoke about his desire to find a committed relationship, a goal she encouraged him to pursue.
According to her, the discussion later took a surprising turn when the man revealed that he was interested in a relationship with her.
She claimed that while explaining his work schedule, the man stated that he usually leaves home early and returns late from work. He then suggested that she could visit his house, cook meals, clean, and handle other household chores before he got back each day.
Unimpressed by the proposal, the lady said she responded by telling him that cleaning agencies and professional chefs were readily available if those were the services he needed.
Recounting the exchange, she wrote:
“I told him it’s a cleaning agency, and there are lots of chefs online in case he doesn’t know where to find them. He didn’t know what to say. He just kept laughing.”
The post quickly gained attention online, with many social media users debating whether the man was seeking a genuine relationship or simply looking for someone to take care of domestic responsibilities.
