A Nigerian woman has shared a heartfelt and slightly embarrassing story about how she met her husband—an encounter that began in one of her most vulnerable moments.
The woman, known as @Vicyndysimipeal on X (formerly Twitter), revealed that she had gone out to treat herself at Buka Hut when an unexpected situation unfolded.
While enjoying her time, her menstrual flow started without her noticing. Unaware of what had happened, she got up to buy ice cream—only to realize people were staring at her.
At that moment, a man approached her—not with judgment, but with compassion.
“He gave me his jacket, wrapped it around me, and even offered to order me an Uber home. I insisted on paying, but honestly, I was just grateful someone chose kindness over ridicule.”
She explained that the incident happened on January 24, 2022—a day she says she will never forget. What started as an awkward experience eventually turned into something beautiful, as the same man later became her husband.
Reflecting on their journey, she added:
“Funny enough, Buka Hut is still our favourite spot till today. ❤️ Sometimes, love doesn’t start with butterflies. 🦋 Sometimes, it starts with kindness in your most vulnerable moment.”
