JAMB Announces Release of 2026 UTME Original Result Slip

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will be able to print their Original Result Slip starting from Wednesday.

The announcement was made by Dr Fabian Benjamin, who explained that the Original Result Slip contains important security features, including candidates’ photographs, national rankings, and other details that authenticate the document for official use.

According to JAMB, the Original Result Slip remains one of the key documents required by tertiary institutions during post-UTME screening and admission processes.

Candidates can print the slip using any internet-enabled device or through accredited business centres. They have also been advised to carefully review all information on the document after printing to ensure that their personal details are correct.

JAMB further urged candidates to keep the document safely, as it will be required for various admission-related activities in the future.

The board encouraged all 2026 UTME candidates to obtain their Original Result Slip promptly ahead of admission procedures.

Reactions

Many candidates welcomed the announcement, saying it provides clarity as admission processes approach.

Some prospective students expressed concerns about possible printing charges at business centres.

Others advised candidates to verify their details immediately after printing to avoid complications during admission screening.

Several social media users urged JAMB to ensure the printing portal remains accessible and free from technical issues.
