A Yoruba deity known as ‘Ara Orun’ (People of Heaven) was photographed voting in his full costume at a polling unit in Lagos state.
At a polling station, the masquerade was shown how to thumbprint on the voting paper.
Ara Orun, according to traditional beliefs, came directly from Heaven and were designated as lesser African gods and goddesses with superpowers.
