Stranded Trip From Osun to Lagos Turns Strange After Ibadan Hotel Stop

A Nigerian man has shared a dramatic experience he encountered while travelling from Osun State to Lagos after his vehicle reportedly broke down in Ibadan late at night.

According to him, he decided to lodge in a nearby hotel due to rising insecurity concerns, and a female passenger who was also stranded begged to follow him because she was afraid of staying alone.

Sharing the experience on X (formerly Twitter), he wrote:

Last night, while travelling back to Lagos from Osun, our car broke down in Ibadan around 9 p.m. A girl who was sitting beside me begged me to take her along because she was also scared of staying there alone.”

He explained that although he was initially hesitant, he eventually agreed after much pleading. He said he chose to sleep on the floor while the lady used the bed.

The situation reportedly took a strange turn the next morning when he said he struggled to wake her up for hours, which left him extremely worried.

“I tapped her again and again, but there was no response. That was when I realized I was finished. I started calling my pastor for prayers because I knew I was in trouble.”

He added that she eventually woke up after about two hours and claimed she had been “in a family prayer session in the spirit.”

The incident has since sparked mixed reactions online, with users describing it as both humorous and unsettling. The man also noted that he felt relieved afterward, saying no one would likely have believed his side of the story if things had gone differently.
