A Nigerian man has sparked conversations online after revealing how his younger sister unexpectedly excelled in a private secondary school entrance examination despite having no prior preparation.
The man, identified on X (formerly Twitter) as @FutureAttorney0, shared that his sister initially reached out to him over their mother’s refusal to transfer her from her former school.
According to him, his mother was initially hesitant about changing the girl’s school, but circumstances eventually led them to consider a private secondary school option.
To their amazement, before the transfer process was finalized, his sister had already demonstrated exceptional academic ability in previous school assessments.
He explained that she performed so well in her exams that the teacher who marked her scripts personally approached their mother to commend her brilliance.
“Well, to my greatest surprise she passed the whole exams, unprepared. She did so well that the teacher who marked her papers had to come meet my mom to praise her,” he wrote.
Eventually, his mother agreed to the school transfer, and the young girl was required to sit for an entrance examination at the private school.
Despite not preparing beforehand, her performance once again exceeded family expectations.
Her brother noted that the result left both him and their mother deeply surprised, especially because they had underestimated just how academically gifted she truly was.
“My mama sef shock, because she didn’t prepare. She’s intelligent, but we didn’t realize it was up to that level,” he added.
The story has since generated mixed reactions online, with many praising the girl’s intelligence while others questioned the strictness of private school entrance exams.
