The public figure dismissed widespread rumors that his sister had divorced CAN’s ex-president as false and poorly researched.
Opeyemi Falegan has denied reports that his sister Helen has divorced her husband, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor.
Several rumors have circulated online in recent days claiming that Helen had ended her 25-year marriage to former CAN president, Pastor Oritsejafor.
The socialite has now taken to Instagram to refute these allegations, stating that his sister is not and “will never be divorced.”
“My sister is not divorced and will never be divorced,” he says, “this claim is without evidence as some media outlets framed it, please spend a moment evaluating the evidence before you share a story.”
He also stated that tying his family’s name to such news is unacceptably offensive.
“Attaching our family name( falegan) to infidelity is not only disgusting but abhorrence and totally unacceptable, Falegan families are known for their strong moral principles,” he added.
Falegan concluded his brief letter by expressing his views on good journalism and criticizing those who spread unsubstantiated and false information.
“I support good journalism,” he said, “but I will criticize stories that are poorly researched or outright misleading.” “Use your media literacy to discern and amplify truths that are supported by good evidence. Kindly refrain from further lies.”
It was recently reported that Ayo Oritsejafor, the ex-president of the Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN), and his wife Helen had divorced after 25 years of marriage.
According to reports, the popular Pentecostal pastor and his wife divorced due to a long-standing misunderstanding.
Helen allegedly stated in a WhatsApp message earlier in 2022 that her already estranged husband wanted her dead.
