Witness Speaks on FRSC’s Swift Response After Anthony Joshua’s Ogun Crash

A Nigerian man who witnessed the car crash involving British heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua in Ogun State has shared firsthand details of how officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) responded to the tragic incident.

Earlier, Gistreel reported that Anthony Joshua, who recently defeated YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, was involved in a fatal road accident. Joshua, who was seated in the backseat of the vehicle, was rescued from the wreckage and rushed to the hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries.

Sadly, the crash claimed the lives of two people identified as Sina, Joshua’s strength and conditioning coach, and Latif, his personal trainer.

Reacting to the incident, an X (formerly Twitter) user identified as @deyemidada revealed that he was just one vehicle behind Joshua’s car at the time of the crash. According to him, FRSC officials arrived at the scene within five minutes, running on foot due to heavy traffic that had blocked vehicle access to the wreckage.

He stated that Anthony Joshua was quickly extracted from the car, while the bodies of the deceased were removed from the road. Traffic, he added, was fully cleared in about 10 minutes.

Sharing his experience, he wrote:

“I was one vehicle behind the wreck of AJ’s car and I can confirm that the @FRSCNigeria officers were on the scene in about 5 mins. They arrived on foot running because a buildup of cars had blocked access to the wreckage.

They extracted AJ from the car and removed the bodies from the road and cleared traffic in about 10 minutes. They did very well.”

The eyewitness account has since sparked conversations online, with many commending the FRSC for their swift and professional response despite the challenging circumstances.
