Bola Tinubu, President-elect, has praised the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for conducting the 2023 Presidential elections.
Tinubu stated this during his acceptance speech on Wednesday, shortly after being declared the winner of the presidential election last Saturday.
“I want to commend INEC for a credible election,” the former Lagos State governor said. We recognize the election as credible, and international observers have also acknowledged the election’s credibility.
“With this election, we’ve created the biggest democracy as Nigerians and we must be proud of that.”
INEC Chairman Professor Mahmood Yakubu declared Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress as the winner of the 2023 presidential election.
Tinubu defeated the PDP’s Atiku Abubakar and the Labour Party’s Peter Obi, among other presidential candidates.
