A Nigerian lady has sparked conversations online after sharing why her cousin rejected a man who had reportedly been taking care of her for over a year.
In a post shared on X, the lady identified as @Olami-deeEbony revealed that the man consistently pursued her cousin and showed his affection through daily gestures. According to her, the admirer regularly sent lunch to the cousin and even paid her rent while trying to win her heart.
However, despite his efforts and repeated pleas, the cousin allegedly refused to date him because she was not comfortable with his height and poor fashion sense.
The story later took a dramatic turn on the cousin’s birthday after the man posted engagement photos with another woman online.
Following the engagement announcement, the cousin reportedly became emotional and admitted she had started developing feelings for him.
“Now my cousin has been crying since morning, saying she’s starting to develop feelings for him and that he should have tried harder. Women, our wahala is too much,” the lady wrote.
