Iddo Bridge to Be Temporarily Closed for Rehabilitation Works in Lagos

The Lagos State Government has announced the temporary closure of the Iddo Bridge in the Ijora area of Apapa Local Government Area to facilitate ongoing rehabilitation and reconstruction works.

According to a statement signed by the Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, the closure is necessary to allow the safe installation of heavy steel bridge beams by the Federal Ministry of Works.

Closure Schedule

Wednesday, June 17, 2026: 10:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.

Sunday, June 21, 2026: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

During these periods, the entire section of Iddo Bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic to ensure the safety of both road users and construction workers.

Advice to Motorists

Road users are advised to:

  • Use alternative routes during the closure periods.
  • Expect possible traffic diversions and delays.
