A tenant in Lagos state was upset after his landlord ran toilet pipes from other apartments through his.
According to a Twitter user who shared the story, his friend rented an apartment at Akerele estate in Oworonsoki in March of this year. According to him, the landlord requested that he leave the key to his apartment behind so that plumbing work could be completed in the building. The tenant stated that when he returned, he was astounded to discover that two pipes from the toilets of two other apartments had been routed through his apartment. The pipes were not even hidden inside the building, but were built in such a way that anyone could see them.
The distressed man stated that he needs justice because the shoddy work done in his apartment will cause him so much trauma if he continues to live there.

mr_shutterwave: The way landlords do proper scrutiny on tenants should be the way tenants do proper scrutiny on landlords. There should be kyc for tenants and kyc for landlords. There is a part where they ask tenants contact of former landlord and the reason the tenant left their former house. Landlords too should give number of former tenant and the reason the person left. Majority of lagos landlords are hoodlums are thieves. I’m currently dealing with one now
