Adunni Ade, a Nollywood actress, has been accused of owing the late Nollywood actor, Murphy Afolabi, N250,000.
The allegation surfaced during the 8-day Fidau Prayer held in memory of the deceased actor, during which a public announcement was made urging Ade to refund the money to the late actor’s burial committee.
Murphy allegedly sent the money to Ade as payment for a role in his upcoming film, which had yet to be shot when he died.
During the solemn gathering, which was attended by a large number of guests, the announcer took the opportunity to address the issue publicly, pleading with Adunni Ade to fulfill her promise.In Yoruba language, the announcer’s words were;
“Adunni Ade, please return the N250,000 that you owe the late Murphy Afolabi.”
The accusation has drawn attention to Adunni Ade, who is now embroiled in a financial dispute as a result of her colleague’s death.
As word spreads, fans and industry insiders are waiting for Ade’s response and clarification on the alleged debt.
