A POS agent who also works as a thrift collector has called for assistance after her bag, which contained more than ₦150,000, was taken from her store while she was out taking a quick break to buy her kids something.
She disclosed this in a post that was shared on her X (previously Twitter) page, in which she described her experience in great detail.
lShe claimed that among the stolen funds were contributions from thrift stores and money for her point-of-sale business.
Sharing her distress, she wrote: “My life is crumbling. Just pray I pass this moment.”
“I went to get something for my kids this afternoon and locked the burglary gate, but by the time I returned, my shop had been broken into and my POS bag was gone. It contained over ₦150k.”
She explained that 75% of the stolen money didn’t belong to her, as it included contributions she collects on behalf of others. “I usually collect thrift contributions to run my business. Now the money is gone and I don’t know how to repay the owners by month-end,” she added.
She made a public appeal to help her raise the money she needed to pay off her debt and keep her business going.
