A young man identified on Twitter as Groovy has accused his bank, Polaris Bank, of attempting to steal money from his account while claiming he is deceased.
According to the young man, the bank informed him that they had a court order from Abuja Court claiming he was dead and had frozen his account.
The young man stated that the bank deactivated his account in February and that he completed all required forms. After weeks of back and forth, the bank informed him that he was legally dead and thus could not access the funds in his account.

@Gee_gallas: This issue is just making my blood boil. Most provocative thing I’ve seen in recent times. The only way out is to sue the bank
@Mrmoraks: Where can we get your photos and what’s your real name. A decent journalist will not just publish such serious allegations without putting a face and name to the person making the allegations.
@AmosFrince: This country na comedy at times. Which is legally dead again?

@UncooleKunle: All the lawlessness and anyhowness in this country should be immediately curbed at the earliest.
Because this “I can do anything I like and get away with it” syndrome is quickly becoming a pandemic in Nigeria.
And it’s the average man that’ll get most or all of the brunt.
@KobinnaA: They will surprise you. Expect one from a magistrate in Nasarawa State. The likely courts are Senior Magistrate Court, Mararaba, Gurku and Upper Area Court, Masaka. They need to do something drastic about the Nasarawa State judiciary system. Put your lawyer on notice. Honest one.
