A fresher at a Nigerian university has captured attention online after proposing to his girlfriend during their matriculation ceremony.
The newly admitted students were seen kissing and hugging after the proposal, which was captured in a romantic post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The young man started the video by making his way to a decorated section of the field.
He got down on his knees, took out a flower and what looked like a ring from his bag, and gave them to his girlfriend.
As the scene unfolded, fellow students could be heard chanting, “Say yes, say yes,” encouraging the lady to accept.
The crowd erupted in cheers as the woman approached him, took the flower, and they shared a kiss and embrace.
As the video went viral, a lot of people poured their thoughts into the comment section.
