Mother shocked as school charges her ₦929k to enrol her 3-year-old child, and ₦432k every term

A mother has expressed shock after a school charged her ₦929,000 to enroll her 3-year-old child, with a termly fee of ₦432,000.

She revealed the information in a post on X (formerly Twitter), where she included a slip outlining the costs associated with the child’s enrolment.

According to the slip, the charges included:

Form – ₦25,000, Tuition – ₦432,000, Books – ₦55,000, PTPF – ₦10,000, Sports Levy – ₦5,000, Health Trust Fund – ₦25,000, Uniforms – ₦102,000, and Development Levy – ₦300,000, bringing the total to ₦929,000, with subsequent terms costing ₦432,000.

Reacting to the fees, the woman captioned the post: “For small child, haa.” 

She added: “SCHOOL WON WOUND PERSON. HOW MUCH ARE YOU PAYING FOR THIS TERM?”

The post quickly went viral, with many social media users flooding the comment section to express their opinions.
