
Oluwaseun Kuforiji, a Nigerian tailor, has broken the record for the longest sewing marathon, creating a new Guinness World Record.
During the remarkable period of January 22–26, 2025, Kuforiji sewed nonstop for 106 hours, 55 minutes, and 20 seconds in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, setting a new record.
His achievement surpasses the previous record, marking a significant milestone in the fashion industry.
Kuforiji took to Instagram to share the exciting news, expressing gratitude for the recognition.
“Officially a Guinness World Record Holder! 106 hours, 55 minutes, and 20 seconds of non-stop sewing—needle and thread in hand, passion in my heart! From crafting a full Agbada in the first six hours to completing 18 outfits, this journey has been nothing short of incredible,” he wrote.
