A young man from Lekki named Jago has taken to social media to criticize his ex-girlfriend, claiming that she had taken advantage of him and left him for another man after squandering his fortune.
In a long and tearful video, Jago disclosed that he had spent more than N100 million on the relationship, including installing solar electricity in her house after she first asked for a generator and purchasing a car for her only two weeks after they began dating.
According to reports, Jago’s discovering his ex-girlfriend was romantically involved with another man who had sent her flowers online set off his heartbreak. He claimed they had plans to get married on his birthday in January, making her actions even more painful.
“I gave you a car just two weeks into the relationship. I spent over N100M on you. Now that you’ve left me for another man, you must return everything I gave you,” he stated in the video.
The viral outburst has sparked mixed reactions online, with some sympathizing with Jago, while others criticized him for lavish spending so early in a relationship.
