Vulcanizer arrested for aiding the kidnap of Furniture Businessman

A Nigerian man has disclosed the specifics of the kidnapping of a well-known furniture entrepreneur a few months ago, stating that the kidnappers obtained vital information from a vulcanizer close to the victim’s store.

In a long post on the well-known social media site X (formerly Twitter), the man described how he had bought furniture for his house from a furniture merchant who had been kidnapped.

According to the post, the abduction happened close to the Lagoon, and the perpetrators arrived by boat before entering the furniture showroom and shooting into the air.

Following the payment of a ransom of several million naira, the businessman was freed after being taken away via the Lagoon for a few days.

“The vulcanizer stationed near the estate gate close to the shop was the informant who helped the kidnappers track the businessman,” the man shared.

The vulcanizer was later connected to another kidnapping operation and taken into custody. An arrest video of the vulcanizer was included in the post.

Online responses to the post have been overwhelmingly positive, with many people expressing their concern about the incident and the increasing danger of such crimes.

The man concluded with a reminder to remain cautious, stating, “You really can’t be too careful. May God continue to protect us.”

@Omar_mustie: The most annoying part is, you’ll find out he has been nothing but nice to the vulcanizer.

People are just wicked.

@_Adisaokin: Ki oluwa ma mu wa ni 🙏
Nothing like I live lowkey for security conscience

@SunkyBlues: God have mercy on us. The estate should ensure artisans around the area are members of the estate community (informal workers).

@iam_tolumichael: I won’t be surprised if the family friend was good to the vulcaniser. Why do some people allow greed to influence their thought process?

@Lareto24: Most times… there is always an informant or an insider. God’s protection always o 🙏🏻
