May Edochie, the estranged wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie responds to criticism and accusations of promoting divorce following her husband’s second marriage.
As you may remember, following Yul’s marriage to fellow actress Judy Austin, May filed for divorce in 2023, claiming adultery.
Since then, a lot of people have criticized May, saying she is pushing other women to end their marriages.
During an interview with comedian AY Makun on the Glasshouse Podcast, the mother who lost her first son highlighted the support she gets from her online family, highlighting their dependability.
In response to questions concerning the allegations of “promoting divorce,” May explained her position by stating, “Some men see me as someone that is misleading their wives.”
She added, “I love family and marriage, but there is a misconception about marriage that is totally different. Ideally, marriage is the basis of family. Because there would be no you or me without family. That is how it used to be.”
May emphasized that she is not an advocate for divorce, stating, “Let me categorically state it now that I’m not an advocate for divorce.”

May Edochie added, “I am a master of all trades, and there is a whole lot I can do if I put my mind to it,” in reference to her versatility.
