Chelsea defeated Panathinaikos 4-1 at Olympic Stadium in Athens to continue their undefeated Conference League run.
With eleven changes to their typical starting lineup, the Blues were heavily rotated and dominated the game.
The London team got off to a strong start when Joao Felix opened the scoring in the 22nd minute.
In the 48th minute after halftime, Mykhailo Mudryk doubled Chelsea’s lead, and seven minutes later, Felix finished his brace.
On minute 59, Christopher Nkunku scored a fourth goal from the penalty spot.
Facundo Pellistri gave Panathinaikos a consolation goal in the 69th minute, but the Greek team was unable to capitalize on the opportunity.
With 60% of the ball and 14 shots, nine of which were on goal, the Blues also controlled possession.
The victory maintains Chelsea’s position as the clear favorite to win the Conference League trophy, while Panathinaikos found it difficult to stay up in their first home game since the untimely death of their star player, George Baldock.
