Controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, was taken to the Police Hospital in Falomo, Lagos, on Wednesday after experiencing breast pain.
This happened soon after he was detained for several hours in a cell at the Nigeria Police Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Alagbon, Lagos, according to Gistreel.
Following his complaints of discomfort, Bobrisky was taken to the hospital at approximately 2:00 p.m., according to police sources cited by Vanguard.
Although early reports indicated health problems, a police source speculated that the ambulance trip might have been planned.
This conjecture stems from rumors that the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, who oversees the Special Fraud Unit (SFU), intended to move Bobrisky to his command at SFU.
There has been conjecture regarding whether the medical complaint was utilized as a cover to handle the transfer procedure with less scrutiny due to the timing of the hospital visit and the scheduled transfer.
The source went on to say, “They requested a police ambulance with the license plate LLD339LP because they were worried about avoiding media attention.”
They insisted on taking Bobrisky to the Police Hospital, Falomo before transferring him to SFU because, according to another source, he complained bitterly about pain in his “breast.” “This happened following the SFU CP’s visit to the command to oversee the transfer.”
The source also stated that two armed officers were assigned to guard Bobrisky’s cell after profiling him, and that he was kept apart from other prisoners before being put in the cell.
The two armed officers stayed until Bobrisky was removed and loaded into the ambulance to be transported to the Police Hospital in Falomo, the police source added.
Vanguard claims that he used his male name, Idris, to identify himself when he was asked for his name inside the ambulance.
A female nurse and a fully armed police officer were on hand to protect him while he was in the ambulance. He was placed on a stretcher inside the ambulance.
