At a ceremony in India, a young man named Madivi Sathibabu married two women who had children for him.
Sathibabu, of Erraboru village in Cherla Mandal, married the two women, Sunitha and Swapna, in a traditional ceremony attended by both brides’ families.
According to the Times of India, Sathibabu and Swapna have been lovers since their school days, and during their live-in relationship, a girl was born out of wedlock.
Around the same time, Sathibabu was dating Sunitha, a Karnepalli village family member with whom he had a son.
Swapna, Sathibabu’s first love, initially objected to her fiancé’s decision to marry another woman, but the matter was settled after he declared his intention to marry both of them.
“Sathibabu’s first love, Swapna, objected to the move of her fiancé to marry another woman, but the matter was resolved after he declared to marry both ladies. Parents of the women too had no objection and decided to go ahead with the rituals,” a village elder said.
