DJ Cuppy becomes first Nigerian to host youth session at UNGA

Famous disc jockey DJ Cuppy creates history by being the first person from Nigeria to host an opening session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA).

Cuppy moderated the Youth Action Day at the 2024 United Nations General Assembly, with the theme “The Summit of the Future – Youth Actions Day.”

The daughter of Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola not only served as moderator but also gave a musical performance after her keynote address.

Her session marked the largest youth gathering in the history of the UN Headquarters.

“Hardly home but always REPPIN ✊🏾 Rehearsals help me STAY READY because preparation MEETS opportunity FOR REAL. My dreams are fueled by faith, hard work, and my purpose truly know NO limits. 🕊️🌍✨ #UNGA,” she captioned the post.

José Maria Neves, the president of Cape Verde, and the UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs were among the prominent guests at the function.
