The well-known Nollywood actress Bukola Ikuomola is no stranger to playing nuanced roles on screen. She is, nevertheless, also making great progress in the unusual field of the sex toy industry, so her pursuits go beyond acting.
Ikuomola recently talked about her career journey, the social taboos surrounding her business, and her future goals in an interview with Saturday Sun.
“The sex toy industry is still somewhat a taboo in many parts of Nigeria. But I’ve noticed a shift in attitudes. People are becoming more open-minded, and they’re realizing that sex is a natural part of life. It’s okay to explore and enjoy it,” she noted.
Ikuomola is dedicated to educating her clientele about sexual wellness, having pioneered this field. “I want people to understand that sex is not something to be ashamed of. It’s a vital part of our overall health and well-being. Sex toys can help people enhance their sexual experiences and improve their relationships.”
The Troubled Water actress, despite the stigma her career carries in society, has managed to maintain a healthy balance in her personal life. “I’ve never lost a relationship because of the nature of my business. Those who associate with me are open-minded and understand the difference between business and personal relationships. They are not judgmental and appreciate my true character.”
Looking ahead, Ikuomola aspires to elevate her acting career further. She indicated that she would love to work on a Netflix series and experiment with different genres, such as psychological thrillers and comedy-drama. “I want to showcase my versatility as an actress. I’m always looking for challenging roles that will push me to my limits,” she said.
