Nigerian musician Ahmed Ololade, better known by his stage name Asake, has surpassed fellow musician Burna Boy to hold the record for most entries on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart.
Nine tracks from Asake’s most recent album, Lungu Boy, made their debut this week on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart.
This impressive feat has pushed his total number of chart entries to 50. Notably, Asake’s track “Active,” which features American rapper Travis Scott, has soared to the top of the chart.
Nigerian musicians have dominated the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart since its launch in April 2022.
