Pastor Jeremiah Fufeyin files a N1 billion lawsuit against Verydarkman.

The Nigerian activist Martins Otse Vincent, also referred to as Verydarkman, has been in the news recently because of a lawsuit involving Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry (CMDM) founder and head prophet Pastor Jeremiah Fufeyin.

The incident started when Verydarkman threatened to notify NAFDAC (the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control) that the pastor was selling his congregation miracle water and soap.

The thirty-year-old critic claims Pastor Jeremiah is foolish to profit from the supernatural ability he claims to have freely received from God.

The prophet from Delta State was not amused by this criticism, and in response he filed a lawsuit for N1 billion and requested a restraining order against the person who had accused him of peddling miracle water and soap.

Verydarkman posted about the lawsuit on his Instagram. He shared a video where he talks about the case against the cleric.

Seemingly unaffected by the circumstances, he pledged to confront Pastor Fufeyin in court, bringing with him 800 deaf people, 700 blind people, and 36 women who wanted to become pregnant.

In his words, “I am coming to the Court with 800 Deaf People, 700 Blind People, and 36 women who are looking for the fruit of the womb, you must use your healing water and soap to heal all of them in front of the Judge.

After becoming well-known on social media, Verydarkman has been taken into police custody on several occasions because of his contentious statements. In March 2024, he was arrested for cyberbullying and cyberstalking, which included making false claims about Nigerian actresses and officials. He denied the charges and was held in custody until his hearing on May 29, 2024. After spending two weeks in detention, he was released.

He was taken into custody again in June 2024 at his home in Abuja on defamation charges linked to a social media report. On June 30, 2024, VeryDarkMan was interrogated by the police about the defamation claims and was released soon after. No arrest occurred, despite earlier reports suggesting otherwise.

Currently, he is facing a N1 billion lawsuit due to his remarks about Pastor Jeremiah Fufeyin’s miracle soap and water.
