Falz, a Nigerian rapper and singer, has finally responded to the ongoing nationwide demonstrations against corrupt government.
It is no longer news that on August 1st, Nigerians launched a nationwide protest against bad governance, and today is the second day of the protest.
Well-known for being an outspoken opponent of bad leadership, Falz took to the microblogging site X to lament President Tinubu’s callous disregard for the protest.
He asked how long the president plans to continue pressuring the populace until everything goes awry.
His words: “Genuinely don’t know why it’s so difficult to be humane. They say make you leave am, you no gree. Say na your birthright. You can’t now turn a deaf ear. You tried to make it look like the protests were “politically motivated”. Shebi una don see now? How long do you think you can keep on pushing the people back before it blows up in your face ?”
It is important to note that Afrobeat award-winning musician Burna Boy recently gave Falz the title of “African Giant” after withdrawing from the nationwide demonstration in response to Nigerians’ cancellation of his performance in 2020.
