The new National Minimum Wage of 70,000 Naira has been agreed upon by the Federal Government and organized labor.
This was the conclusion of the most recent meeting, which took place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, between President Bola Tinubu and the organized labor leadership.
The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris disclosed this at the end of the meeting between the organized labour and the government at the presidential villa, Abuja.
Labor leaders attended the meeting, including Festus Osifo, the president of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), and Joe Ajaero, the president of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC).
According to Mohammed Idris, the President declared that the government would heavily invest in infrastructure that would improve living conditions for Nigerian laborers.
