After fleeing from his home country of Nigeria to London, renowned Afrobeat singer Davido relates how he introduced Wizkid to British-Nigerian producer Maleek Berry.
In an interview with the +44 podcast show, the singer—who recently tied the knot in an extravagant wedding—made this revelation.
Davido claims that after fleeing his father’s house in Nigeria, he went to the UK and became friends with Maleek.
The record label boss added that he was responsible for the connection between his colleague, Wizkid and the British producer.
“The first place I went to when I ran from home was London. London is like a second home for me. I am the first to know Maleek Berry, I introduced Maleek Berry to Wizkid. From there, I cam back to Nigeria,” he said partly.
